The Global Investigator Network supports life scientists in Chile, India, Singapore, and Taiwan who have established their own laboratories, facilitating opportunities for collaboration with regional and European scientists. Members join a global network of over 700 EMBO Young Investigators, Global Investigators, and Installation Grantees. The program offers four years of financial support for networking activities, including travel, training, and lab member support, along with access to EMBO events and mentoring. Benefits include research visits, seminars, joint lab meetings, manuscript and grant proposal assistance, childcare support at conferences, and professional development courses. To qualify, applicants must have been independent group leaders for 1-6 years, have an excellent research track record, and meet specific eligibility criteria. Virtual interviews are held annually in November, with extended eligibility available under exceptional circumstances. There is no age limit for applicants.

Industry Academia Research Development Programme (IARDP)-CEFIPRA

The Industry Academia Research Development Programme (IARDP) aims to foster collaboration between industry and academia in India and France, leveraging the research strengths of academia to support applied research for industry. Proposals should focus on innovative, industry-driven projects to develop or improve products and processes. The ideal model involves at least one industrial partner and one research institute from both countries, though proposals not meeting this 2+2 model may still be considered with proper justification. Priority areas include renewable energy, affordable healthcare, smart mobility, AI and machine learning, sustainable nutrition, agricultural science, technology for SDGs, and waste management. Academic collaborators must hold permanent positions at universities or research institutes, while industrial collaborators should have established R&D units with a proven track record.

Project proposals should be submitted via the CEFIPRA online system. The funding covers up to €220,000, supporting manpower, international travel, consumables, equipment (for Indian academic collaborators), and industry-specific needs on a case-by-case basis. The maximum duration for the projects is three years.
