Indo-U.S. Virtual Networked Centers for Collaborative Research

"The Indo-U.S. Virtual Networked Centers facilitate collaborative research between scientists from academia, laboratories, and industry in India and the United States. These centres leverage existing infrastructure and funding from institutional partners to foster joint R&D efforts. The initiative aims to promote thematic research in science, technology, and engineering by creating networks that integrate education and research, fostering long-term partnerships. The research topic should be of high scientific quality, originality and relevance to cover areas of topical and mutual interest.  Minimum of two Indian and two American distinct institutional partners (2+2 Partnership Mode). In the case of Public-Private Partnerships, the U.S. and Indian principal investigators must represent academia or public funded laboratories. However, no financial support will be extended/provided to Industry participants."

Last date: Submission of proposals is open through the year with the submission deadline 31st August

EMBO-Travel grants and registration fee waivers

"Travel grants and registration fee waivers to support participants who have been selected to attend a scientific meeting funded by EMBO, it includes EMBO Workshops, EMBO Practical Courses, EMBO-FEBS Lecture Courses, and EMBO-EMBL Symposia. The selection of awardees is handled directly by the organizer. For questions regarding travel grants for a specific event, please contact the relevant organiser directly. EMBO travel grants and registration fee waivers are allocated on the basis of the quality of the abstract submitted. Travel grants and fee waivers are allocated for participants of any nationality working in laboratories in Chile, India, Singapore and Taiwan."

DMREF: DST-NSF Joint call for proposals

"Applications are invited from all those who are interested in doing high-end research in the area of Material Science through U.S. NSF 25-508 program. Through this partnership, India researchers may receive funding from DST and U.S. researchers may receive funding from NSF respectively. Selected Projects of Indian PIs will be supported up-to 20 million Indian rupees by DST for duration upto four years. The DST funding period is upto four years. DMREF emphasizes a deep integration of experiments, computation, and theory; the use of accessible digital data across the materials development continuum; and strengthening connections among theorists, computational scientists, data scientists, mathematicians, statisticians, and experimentalists as well as those from academia, industry, and government. DMREF is committed to the education and training of a next-generation materials research and development (R&D) workforce; well equipped for successful careers as educators and innovators; and able to take full advantage of the materials development continuum and innovation infrastructures that NSF is creating through partnership with other federal and international agencies."
