Women Involvement in Science and Engineering Research (WISER) 2025 - IGSTC

The Women Involvement in Science and Engineering Research (WISER) 2025 program, initiated by the Indo-German Science & Technology Centre (IGSTC) in collaboration with the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Government of Germany, invites proposals from women researchers in India and Germany to foster innovation in STEM fields. This initiative aims to address the underrepresentation of women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) by promoting collaboration between Indian and German women researchers. The program encourages the submission of paired proposals, where each collaboration consists of one Indian and one German Principal Investigator (PI), working on projects across any STEM discipline. The grant provides financial support for project-related expenses, including research staff, consumables, and a one-month research stay in the host country for each PI. The tenure of the grant is three years, with a maximum funding of ₹39 lakhs for Indian PIs and €48,000 for German PIs. This initiative supports the development of scientific capacity, retention, and career progression for women researchers while promoting bilateral cooperation in research and innovation
